Summary

Lighting lead will be a working lead responsible for the Safety, Quality and delivery of products coming from the lighting lab. The light Lead will lead a team of individuals to assemble lighting lids, lighting cores, LEDs, soldering, etc. Lead will also be responsible for helping to troubleshoot customer issues onsite.

Responsibilities
  • Actively works as Lead on projects including fixture preparation, installation of LED lighting components, control devices and electrical wiring.
  • Read and understand blueprints and wiring diagrams.
  • Identify electrical problems using a variety of testing devices.
  • Maintain UL/SGS listings by completing all necessary forms and labeling.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem‑solving skills both electrically and personally with the team.
  • Responsible for the safety of themselves and their team.
  • Contribute to creating a safe and injury‑free workplace.
  • Produce quality products for the assembly line.
  • Deliver lighting to the assembly floor on time.
  • Load up lighting pictures to My3

    Form under the CO# for every fixture.
  • Lead team to deliver quality products on time.
  • Track quality of products produced.
  • Troubleshoot issues with the assembly floor.
  • Troubleshoot infield issues.
  • Work with research and development department regularly
  • Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.
  • Set clear team goals.
  • Delegate tasks and set deadlines.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day operation.
  • Monitor team performance and report on metrics.
  • Motivate team members.
  • Discover training needs and provide coaching.
  • Listen to team members’ feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts.
  • Recognize high performance and reward accomplishments.

  • Suggest and organize team‑building activities.
Qualifications Education / Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
    Lighting or electrical background is a plus.
Language Ability
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group sittings to customers & team members.
Math Ability
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of windows software and ERP Systems.
Certificates and Licenses
  • Directly leads 2-4 employees. Carries out lead responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
Desirable Qualities (not required)
  • Experience with low‑voltage LEDs
  • Experience using Solid Works PDM
  • Experience with FEA
  • Experience with other CAD software (Rhino, Sketch Up, Revit, etc.)
  • 3D Printing Experience
  • Knowledge of UL and CSA standards
  • Experience with lighting and electrical design
