The Shipping Attendant is an entry‑level position in our Shipping department. As a Shipping Attendant you will unload incoming shipments of returned reels, count parts, keep inventory accuracy, and provide backup/assistance to our Shipping Technician and Inventory Control Specialist. The attendant will properly prepare and load outgoing shipments of finished products, and transport materials/finished products to appropriate department and/or storage locations.
This position will also assist in building reels as needed.
PAY:
This position pays $22.00/HR and up, depending on experience
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm

- Load and coordinate outgoing shipments
- Route items to appropriate departments, if required
- Unload incoming shipments and distribute to proper storage locations
- Examine outgoing shipments for any product defects
- Assemble, package products/materials for shipment, if required – wrap, add protection per standard work instructions
- Label identifying information and shipping instructions onto boxes, reels or containers and ensure proper documentation for shipments
- Assist Shipping Technician with inventory control and cycle counts
- Follow all company‑standard and position‑specific safety requirements, and report any unsafe working conditions or broken equipment
- Follow and comply with all company policies and procedures
- Additional duties as required
Educational Requirements
- 1-year manufacturing/warehouse experience required
- Experience loading and unloading Flatbed Trailers a plus
- Forklift experience required (Forklift certification is not required but is a plus)
- Ability to perform simple math for inventory and cycle counts
Physical Requirements
- Understanding of paperwork procedures and documentation requirements
- Commitment to wearing required PPE at all times
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and orderly work area at all times
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable assistance
- Ability to spend up to 12 hours a shift on foot around hot machinery
- Ability to move from one area to another by stepping over and/or bending under objects, pushing and pulling objects
For Tuition reimbursement you must be a full‑time employee and complete one continuous year of employment. You will receive $5,000 a year for undergrad and $7,500 a year for grad.
Sign‑On Bonus paid out over 180 days: $500 at 90 days and $1,000 at 180 days; must be in good standing with attendance and performance.

The compensation for this position is typically $22/Hour. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job‑related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include short and long‑term incentive compensation.
