We are seeking to hire a part-time Operations Manager for our Salt Lake City office. This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and facilities management of the office while supporting firm leadership in implementing policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives. The Operations Manager will exercise sound judgment while managing the office and supervising the team and will maintain a positive workplace culture that delivers exceptional client service.

This is a part-time, in-office position with a 22.5-hour workweek. The schedule is flexible and negotiable, with a preference for five hours per day, four days per week.

Your Role:

As an Operations Manager within our Office Administration department, you will:

  • Manage facilities, legal administrative assistants, office service and hospitality services.
  • Develop and implement systems, processes, policies, and procedures for all operational functions.
  • Recruitment, hire and orient staff.
  • Monitor and manage annual office operating and capital budgets.
  • Plan capacity requirements and monitor space utilization.
  • Assist in construction project oversight, office relocations, and lease administration.
  • Act as primary liaison with building management and oversee office security.
  • Ensure a comprehensive office maintenance program, including cleaning, HVAC, and repairs and maintenance.
  • Develop and implement emergency response and evacuation plans.
  • Promote a healthy work environment by encouraging participation in wellness programs.
  • Plan and execute internal events including, office holiday party, staff appreciation day, etc.

Required Experience:

A Bachelor's degree in management or business administration preferred, with at least 5 years of management experience, ideally within a law firm or other professional services setting. The ideal individual will have a proven track record in facilities management, budget planning and control, as well as project management and personnel management, including training and development. Exceptional leadership and organizational skills are essential.
