Role Summary

Assistant Managers assist in the overall operation of the theatre, ensuring policies and procedures are followed and operational standards achieved. They are cross‑trained in all departments and provide training to all employees. The position can lead to Senior Assistant Manager, Theatre Manager or General Manager after completing the Management Accreditation Program and a minimum of six months on the job.

Responsibilities

• Follow direction of the General Manager and support decision communication with staff.
• Work in all departments and functions of the theatre.
• Train and coach team members in job functions.
• Assist in preparing administrative and special reports.
• Participate in inspections of building, parking, landscaping, property, roof, signage and equipment.
• Report repair needs to the General Manager.
• Ensure team members follow dress code.
• Interact with guests to provide superior customer service.
• Enforce policies and procedures consistently.
• Report employee relations issues to the General Manager or Convercent portal.
• Follow employee relations reporting protocol and maintain high work ethic and conduct.
• Identify and sanitize high‑contact areas.
• Use personal protective equipment as required.
• Adapt to cleaning task frequency and scope.
• Address safety or security issues as they arise.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum age 18 years.
• High School or G.E.D. graduate preferred.
• Completion of Management Foundations, Annual Certifications, and MAP Core courses in Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program.
• Basic food‑handling training and any required local/state certification, health card, or food handler permit.
• Safe Alcohol Service training required for those working with alcohol.
• Availability for flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Regular and consistent attendance.
• Energetic and friendly attitude.
• Excellent guest service skills.
• Accurate cash handling and basic math skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Teamwork and independent work ability.
• Ability to receive and follow direction.
• Sense of urgency.
• Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail.

• Conflict resolution ability.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Frequent bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theatre.
• Noise level may be moderate to high.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
