POSITION SUMMARY

The Team Lead coordinates and oversees all operational activities assigned to daily. Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, the Operations Lead oversees the associates dedicated to the warehousing, receiving, and shipping of product to maintain service and cost objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Mentor and train new and existing associates in distribution activities to achieve customer demands.
  • Train associates on Standard Operating Procedures for shipping, receiving, picking, quality control.
  • Assist in forklift operation and certification for associates.
  • Oversee unloading of inbound shipments, stacking, picking, staging of outbound shipments.
  • Verify inbound/outbound paperwork and count products.
  • Load orders accurately to appropriate doors and trailers.
  • Process all shipping/receiving/picking functions as defined by SOP.
  • Research discrepancies in shipping and receiving processes.
  • Maintain professional appearance and communications.
  • Communicate with customers via phone, email, or in person.
  • Prepare activity reports for site management.
  • Verify product quality standards, report damages or discrepancies, stack, package, shrink wrap, label product.
  • Participate in quality meetings.
  • Comply with ISO standards, execute safety protocols, promote safety, maintain warehouse cleanliness, support security.
  • Attend safety meetings.
  • Direct warehouse work team to achieve objectives.
  • Assist associates in productivity sheets, capture hours.
  • Assist supervisor in maintaining employee productivity.
  • Participate in work schedule establishment and implementation.
  • Ensure associates follow quality procedures.
  • Participate in department meetings.
  • Initiate action to prevent non-conformities, record problems, recommend solutions.
  • Report non-conformities to Quality Department.
  • Operate equipment: sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, sweeper, scrubber, scissor lift, cherry picker, aisle master, pallet jack.
  • Maintain equipment, report problems, perform daily maintenance.
  • Operate all equipment safely and efficiently, maintain forklift certification.
  • Perform building, grounds, equipment maintenance as assigned.
  • Perform other clerical and administrative tasks as guided (answer phones, schedule, greet visitors, file).
  • Work evening and weekend shifts as needed.
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 year experience in logistics/distribution environment.
  • Ability to operate MHE.
  • Work in unregulated temperatures, mild to moderate.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations
  • Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
  • Basic computer skills, RF scanners, WMS functions.
  • English (reading, writing, verbal).
  • Basic to intermediate math to verify quantities and inventory.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, timely completion.
  • Perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with all levels of the organization.
  • Adapt to change and thrive in fast‑paced environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2-4 years experience in warehouse/logistics/distribution environment.
  • 2-4 years proven forklift experience.
  • Current or prior MHE certification.
COMPENSATION

Expected base pay $26 an hour.
