Senior DevOps Engineer

Our client is seeking a Senior Dev Ops Engineer to join their Platform Engineering team in a fully remote capacity in Salt Lake City, UT. • Compensation: $150,000 - $200,000, based on experience

In this role, you’ll design, build, and scale a secure, compliant, multi-tenant cloud platform powering mission-critical government and healthcare systems. You’ll sit at the core of the Platform Engineering team, driving cloud infrastructure, Dev Ops automation, security enablement, AI platform support, and reliability engineering initiatives. Your work will directly impact how millions of Americans access critical food and health programs through a modern, government-grade SaaS platform.

• Design and operate cloud-native infrastructure in AWS
• Build and maintain internal platform services for CI/CD, environment provisioning, secrets management, identity, observability, and configuration management
• Implement multi-tenant isolation patterns
• Architect and maintain high-availability systems
• Define and implement SRE practices including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets
• Lead incident response efforts and build reliability playbooks
  
  Drive Fin Ops initiatives and cloud cost optimization
• Embed security-by-design across infrastructure and deployment pipelines
• Automate security scanning, IaC policy enforcement, and secrets rotation
• Support compliance frameworks including HIPAA, SOC 2, FedRAMP, and NIST
• Integrate security and GRC tooling into the platform ecosystem
• Manage Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Helm, and Git Ops
• Design secure network architectures and zero-trust patterns
• Implement and enhance observability stacks
• Support RAG pipelines and LLM infrastructure

• 4+ years of Dev Ops or Platform Engineering experience
• 3+ years of cloud-native architecture experience
• Deep hands-on experience with AWS
• RAG pipeline experience and LLM-supporting infrastructure knowledge
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes
• U.S. Citizen or valid U.S. work authorization and currently residing in the U.S.
• Experience working in regulated industries
