Field Project Manager, Access Control

Overview of the Role

We’re looking for a driven and security-focused Field Project Manager, Access Control and Safety Security to join our Field Operations team. In this role, you’ll oversee the implementation of security systems, including access control, door locks, CCTV, and safety features for hospitality, commercial, and multi-dwelling environments. You’ll ensure installations are compliant, secure, and meet Groove’s standards for customer satisfaction.

• Manage the field execution of various security system installations
• Perform site surveys to assess risk and system needs
• Train technicians on installation, troubleshooting, and safety protocols
• Ensure compliance with local codes, privacy regulations, and security best practices
• Conduct quality audits and provide technical support for escalations
• Coordinate with the engineering team and deployment managers
• Maintain professionalism and empathy in customer communications

• Must-Haves
  • 3+ years of experience in access control or low‑voltage security systems
  • Knowledge of systems like Dormakaba, Brivo, Verkada, or similar
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
  • Experience reading wiring diagrams and floor plans
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Comfortable with travel across the U.S.

  • OSHA 10 or 30 Certification
  • Experience with IP camera systems and integrated security platforms
  • Familiarity with fire code and ADA compliance in hospitality settings
