eBay LIVE is a dynamic, real‑time commerce platform that connects sellers, creators, brands, and buyers through interactive live content. We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager to develop, implement, and enforce prohibited, restricted, and product safety policies on eBay Live. This role ensures that live content, listings, creator activity, and seller behavior comply with platform policies while balancing business growth, creator engagement, and user experience.

This is a high‑impact role for a leader who can operate effectively in an ambiguous, fast‑paced environment.

The role will represent compliance priorities and business needs for eBay Live, partnering closely with Product, Legal, Trust, GCX, and Operations to ensure live commerce experiences meet regulatory and marketplace obligations while maintaining strong cross‑functional alignment and clear stakeholder communication.

The role reports into the Director, Prohibited & Restricted Items Policy. The position will be based in our Salt Lake City, Utah location. Regular domestic and occasional international business travel is required.

Responsibilities
  • Own prohibited item and product safety policy compliance strategy for eBay LIVE
  • Partner with operational teams to ensure timely takedowns and enforcement actions in accordance with legal and platform requirements
  • Develop, update, and operationalize prohibited item policies globally tailored to live commerce
  • Partner with global Regulatory and Legal organizations on evolving trends and issues
  • Work with Product and Engineering to design scalable enforcement tools and workflows
  • Collaborate with Trust and eBay LIVE operations teams to improve detection, response times, and accuracy
  • Educate sellers about our policies to keep creators and eBay safe
  • Contribute to training materials, FAQs, and guidance for eBay LIVE participants
  • Balance enforcement with creator experience to minimize friction
  • Identify emerging risks in live commerce, social selling, and influencer ecosystems
  • Analyze trends, metrics, and enforcement outcomes to inform strategy and improvements
  • Prepare reporting for leadership on risk, enforcement effectiveness, and compliance health
  • Clearly define and communicate business and policy requirements, including data transparency and reporting needs to support effective oversight and risk management
  • Support regulatory and policy risk assessments for eBay Live by identifying gaps, assessing emerging risks, and recommending practical mitigation strategies
Job Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in intellectual property compliance, trust & safety, or platform governance
  • Outstanding communication skills – oral and written, including ability to deliver compelling presentations to internal and external groups
  • Seven or more years of experience, preferably in ecommerce, in the areas of policy, program management and/or strategy development
  • Familiarity with AI tools and an AI‑first mindset, with a demonstrated ability to leverage technology to improve insight, execution, and decision‑making
  • Analytic and strategy development skills including expert Excel (pivot tables, advanced functions, statistics) and PowerPoint skills; superior skills in SQL coding and database query (e.g., SQL) and understanding of data warehouse architecture are required
  • Understanding of the live commerce landscape and functional understanding of the eBay marketplace
  • A willingness to challenge existing approaches and ability to drive positive culture
