Job Description
The Data Analyst 2 works under minimal direction to analyze, integrate, and ensure the quality of data supporting Family History historical records. This role combines data analysis, data quality stewardship, and reporting with specialized expertise in Italian historical records and metadata, including analysis of handwritten source material and creation of standardized documentation. Fluency in Italian (speaking, reading, and writing) is required.
Responsibilities- Analyze and integrate data from multiple systems to support reporting, insights, and decision‑making.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and usability through validation, documentation, and quality assurance.
- Organize and structure data and metadata, including historical records from Italian archives.
- Create standardized metadata and authority structures.
- Translate data and business needs into clear insights and written guidance in English and Italian.
- Support appropriate data access, security, and user adoption.
Education: BS/BA Degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years performing multiple system data validation, quality assessments, and configuration of reports and standardized dashboards.
- Fluency in Italian (speaking, reading, and writing).
- Experience in data analysis, data quality, or data stewardship.
- Experience working with data from multiple sources.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
- Experience with historical or archival records.
- Familiarity with Italian historical handwriting.
- Experience with data modeling, querying, or standardized reporting.
