The Role The IT Stabilization Engineer is a senior technical position focused on improving the health, stability, and security of client IT environments. This role combines proactive maintenance with strategic oversight, including infrastructure discovery, documentation updates, and configuration reviews. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients and an escalation point for internal teams, ensuring risks are addressed and systems remain optimized.
Your work directly contributes to long-term process improvements and exceptional client experiences.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs) to ensure system health and stability
- Conduct infrastructure discovery and update documentation for accuracy
- Review configurations to maintain optimal performance and security
- Collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to identify risks and escalate unresolved issues
- Serve as a senior technical resource and escalation point for complex challenges
- Support field technicians with advanced troubleshooting and guidance
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance long-term client success
- Experience:
6+ years in Information Technology - Strong background in Network Engineering
- Team-oriented with excellent communication skills
- Outstanding customer-facing interaction
- Strong documentation abilities (network diagrams, system audits)
- Certifications (or ability to obtain within 1 year):
- CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent)
- CompTIA Network+ (or equivalent)
- VMware VCAP-NV
- CCNA (or equivalent)
- Deep understanding of network infrastructure (firewalls, switches, routers, VPNs)
- Familiarity with email systems and DNS configurations (SPF, DKIM, MX)
- Experience with Autotask or similar ticketing/documentation systems
- Working knowledge of licensing systems (Microsoft, Quick Books, etc.)
- Experience with Threat Locker or similar endpoint security platforms
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- This is an onsite position and will not be remote.
