Ag Reserves, Inc. is seeking a self-motivated and creative Business Intelligence
Analyst to promote and lead company reporting initiatives as well as provide meaningful analytics and solutions to advance data-driven decisions in the organization. A successful analyst works closely with operations, finance, and support staff to design effective BI systems and ensure operational and financial reporting & data analysis needs are satisfied.
- Develop, maintain, fix, troubleshoot, and support official BI tools, data, reports/queries and their related documentation, dashboards, etc. (Micro Strategy knowledge preferred)
- Develop, maintain, and support forecasting, data mining, and predictive analytics
- Proactively identify opportunities for analysis, perform analysis, and communicate with stakeholders
- Provide information via ad hoc SQL queries or reports
- Develop and maintain objects that support BI tools / ecosystem of the data warehouse, including automating administrative tasks with BI tools using Python
- Perform extensive and robust data validation proactively and collaboratively to help ensure that important company data are clean, accurate, and complete
- Consult, educate, and learn with users (from front line employees to executive management) in developing reporting needs, solutions, and training
- Prototype and test new data models closely with data team (data mart, Kimball design methodology, advanced SQL, Microsoft Fabric)
- Create and implement policies and procedures that maintain data and reporting integrity.
- Act as a liaison between information users, Information Systems, and Business Intelligence teams
- Continuously participate in learning and training activities amongst BI group, helping advance group capabilities Research and recommend further BI initiatives and improvements to existing BI environment and solutions.
- Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, or other related field.
- 3+ years' relevant work experience including using scripting languages and other BI tools to produce reports and analytics.
- Advanced SQL and Excel skills.
- Data visualization skills and experience with visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Micro Strategy, Python and R desired.
- Strong demonstrated problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, leadership, and communication skills. Spanish or Portuguese language skills a plus.
- Ability to travel, approximately 5-10%.
