Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Pharmacy Technician II is responsible for accurately performing all advanced and basic pharmacy technician functions in a timely manner. In addition, this position may be responsible for performing duties associated with Automated Dispensing Cabinets and other specialized duties as assigned by the pharmacy management team. In this role:
- You will be responsible for maintaining medication storage and security.
- You will interact with hospital personnel both in person and by phone.
- You will accurately package and prepare medications for dispensing.
- You will transport medications and supplies to various areas of the hospital.
- You will perform daily Automated Dispensing Cabinet routines as assigned.
- You will help manage drug supplies in a cost‑effective manner and identify opportunities to minimize waste. You will help mentor new technicians and assist the Pharmacy Director with special projects as needed.
What qualifications you will need:
- (CPhT) Certified Pharmacy Technician
- (Pharm Tech) Pharmacy Technician License
