The successful candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a passion for delivering high quality, state of the art treatments while being supported with a team of 14 faculty Radiation oncologists, 15 Nurses, 11 Dosimetrists & 13 Medical Physicists along with over 30 Radiation Therapists.

This position performs radiation therapy and radiographic procedures involving the application of X-rays and radioactive substances to patients. The incumbent operates specialized X-ray equipment as prescribed by the physician, keeps treatment records and prepares operational reports as required. This position is responsible for providing direct patient care and also applies ionizing radiation to patients in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist.

• Performs radiation therapy treatments.
• Explains treatment procedures to patients.
• Prepares the treatment room and equipment, transfers patients to treatment area, and positions patients for treatment.
• Checks daily treatment parameters; delivers the prescribed dosage; and maintains treatment records in the patient's electronic medical chart.
• Performs weekly checks of the patient's electronic chart for completeness and accuracy.
• Photographs patients in the treatment position and observes patients for unusual skin reactions and side effects of treatment.
• Performs tumor localization using image guidance modalities.
