Responsibilities- Scan patients according to protocols and parameters with knowledge of troubleshooting MRI systems.
- Archive patient exams.
- Confidently start IVs.
- Adapt to different MRI environments (1.5T MRI machines, 3T MRI machines, and MRI machines) in the operating rooms.
- Function in different patient monitoring systems throughout the organization.
- Follow MRI safety guidelines according to organization policy.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above.
- Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills.
- Ability to provide care appropriate to the population served.
- Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system. The eCredential is to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- One of the following:
- ARRT Registration as Magnetic Resonance Imaging R.T. (MR) (ARRT).
- MRI Technologist Certification from the American Registry for Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
- Additional license requirements as determined by the hiring department.
- Three (3) years of technical MRI experience.
