• Scan patients according to protocols and parameters with knowledge of troubleshooting MRI systems.
• Archive patient exams.
• Confidently start IVs.
• Adapt to different MRI environments (1.5T MRI machines, 3T MRI machines, and MRI machines) in the operating rooms.
• Function in different patient monitoring systems throughout the organization.
• Follow MRI safety guidelines according to organization policy.

• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above.
• Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills.
• Ability to provide care appropriate to the population served.

• Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system. The eCredential is to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• One of the following:
  • ARRT Registration as Magnetic Resonance Imaging R.T. (MR) (ARRT).
  • MRI Technologist Certification from the American Registry for Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
  • Additional license requirements as determined by the hiring department.

• Three (3) years of technical MRI experience.
