Job Overview
Join Our Team as an Ultrasound Technologist at Intermountain Health LDS Hospital, Salt Lake City, Utah. This PRN position covers open shifts and PTO, call and holiday rotations. Expect 2‑3 shifts per month.
Responsibilities and Expectations- Perform ultrasound examinations across a variety of modalities (OB, abdominal, neuro, breast, pediatric, vascular, interventional, cardiac, trauma, stroke, ICU).
- Cover open shifts and PTO, call and holiday rotations (PRN, no guaranteed hours).
- Expect to perform 2–3 shifts per month.
- Registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) – successful completion of one registry pertinent to the department beyond physics (options include OB, abdominal, neuro, breast, pediatric, and vascular).
- Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification for healthcare providers.
- 1 or more years of experience.
- Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, and assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors; verbally communicate and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues in emergency situations.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment; frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care.
- Expected to lift and transfer patients and handle supplies weighing up to heavy items; bend, lift, and carry supplies.
- Walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and distributing supplies, pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment; navigate crowded busy rooms.
- May stand in a stationary position for extended periods.
- Entry Rate: $38.77 + depending on experience; hourly range $38.77 - $59.82.
