Licensed Psychologist, Autism Diagnostic
Location:
On-site | Salt Lake City, UT
Our client is a fast-growing pediatric behavioral-health organization that is expanding its multidisciplinary diagnostic program. They have recently invested in brand-new testing suites, streamlined intakes, and statewide referral partnerships—creating the ideal environment for a licensed psychologist who is passionate about accurate, family-centered autism evaluations to make an immediate impact. You’ll join a collaborative team of BCBAs, speech therapists, and occupational therapists that shares one goal: delivering timely answers and actionable next-steps to Utah families seeking clarity.
Key Responsibilities- Complete comprehensive psychological and developmental evaluations for children and adolescents, integrating ADOS-2, cognitive, adaptive, and language measures.
- Draft reader-friendly diagnostic reports that meet DSM-5 and payer documentation standards, typically within five business days of testing.
- Provide compassionate, plain-language feedback to caregivers, including individualized recommendations that bridge school, home, and therapy settings.
- Collaborate daily with BCBAs, SLPs, and OTs to translate assessment findings into evidence-based treatment plans.
- Maintain full compliance with Utah licensure rules, Medicaid guidelines, and commercial-insurance requirements.
- Contribute to program development, quality-improvement projects, and peer case consultation.
- Participate in (and optionally lead) journal clubs, CE workshops, and mentoring of post-docs or practicum students.
- Doctorate (PhD / PsyD) in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology.
- Unrestricted Utah psychologist license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
- Formal ADOS-2 training with 2+ years administering autism batteries.
- Eligibility for Medicaid and major-payer credentialing.
- Deep knowledge of DSM-5 differential diagnosis and best-practice report writing.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to explain complex findings to non-clinical audiences.
- Testing across the lifespan (ages 2–18).
- Prior work in a multidisciplinary medical, ABA, or outpatient clinic.
- Familiarity with electronic health-record systems and tele-consultation.
- Competitive compensation with production bonuses and annual CE budget.
- A robust leave policy complemented by dedicated, paid days for career growth and skill advancement.
- Full benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k with match).
- Clinical autonomy within a supportive team culture that values evidence-based practice.
- Growth pathway toward Lead Psychologist or Clinical-Director roles as the diagnostic program scales.
