PMHNP - HMHI OP Park BHC

Overview

This position provides psychiatric care and mental health treatment to patients seen in a Huntsman Mental Health Institute Clinic. This role may diagnose, create treatment plans, prescribe psychiatric medications, establish medication management plans, provide psychotherapy and potentially administer medications for patients in an HMHI setting, either in clinic or remotely, within scope of practice and according to state law.

Essential Functions:

• Perform mental health evaluations and diagnoses.
• Create treatment plans and provide triage and referrals when appropriate.
• Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary treatment team.
• Prescribe medication and provide psychotherapy and safety planning as part of patient care.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system. The eCredential must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Valid registered license in the state of practice as an advanced practice psychiatric mental health nurse and ANCC certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).

Preferred:

• 2 years of ambulatory mental health experience is preferred.
