JOB AD:
Laboratory Technician Aspen Medical has an exciting opportunity for Lab Techs to partner with us in providing quality medical care to patients within a transitional setting. Lab Techs, alongside fellow team members, will be entrusted to ensure that competent care and safety are consistently delivered with compassion to the patient population. The medical teams will be located within a secure medical facility, where such services include, but are not limited to the following:
Medical Screening (New Arrivals),
Comprehensive Screening
, Sick Call
, 24-Hour Emergency Medical and Mental Health Treatment
, Women’s Medical Care
- Provide medical screening and quick, accurate assessments for new arrivals and general patients as part of a multidisciplinary team within a secure facility.
- Participate in comprehensive screening and sick call processes to support timely patient care.
- Deliver 24-hour emergency medical and mental health treatment in accordance with applicable standards and protocols.
- Support women’s medical care services as part of a coordinated clinic service delivery model.
- Successful completion of a full-time medical or clinical laboratory training course of approximately one year, or completion of an associate degree program that includes relevant laboratory science instruction (chemistry, hematology, blood banking, microbiology including serology), or a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science with similar instruction.
- Current, valid certification from American Medical Technologists (AMT) or American Society of Clinical Pathology – Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) as MLT, MLS, or CLT is preferred.
- Current, valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current, valid license or registration from a U.S. state or territory is preferred.
- A minimum of one year of recent, relevant related experience.
- Fluency in Spanish is highly desired but not required.
