Tribal Victim Assistant Specialist

Duties

Provides authoritative advice to District USAO Management and acts as a focal point for tribal victim matters within the district. Implements effective protocols for AUSAs (Assistant United States Attorney's). Provides program oversight, direction, and guidance to successfully implement a tribal victim assistance program. Designs, develops, and implements the dissemination of information pertinent to the numerous victim protection laws, and the Department of Justice policy and programs concerning victim related matters, to include any relevant victim services.

If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for enforcing tribal, local, state and federal law. Typical work assignments will include:

• You must be a U.S. Citizen or National
• Initial appointment is conditioned upon a satisfactory pre-employment adjudication. This includes fingerprint, credit and tax checks, and drug testing. Continued employment is subject to a favorable adjudication of a background investigation
• You must be registered for Selective Service, if applicable
• If selected, you may be required to complete a one year probationary period.
• You must meet all qualification requirements upon the closing date of this announcement.
