Overview

This position is a multi-level position. Based on the candidate’s level of experience, the candidate could be hired as a Financial Analyst, Financial Analyst II or Sr. Financial Analyst. This role is responsible for compiling and preparing financial data and reports. Also providing concise variance analysis of actual performance compared to plans, forecasts, prior periods, and supports and/or leads planning across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with department leaders and staff to analyze, develop, and generate forecasts and long-range financial plans
  • Compile, consolidate, and analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, including forecasts and long-range financial plans
  • Maintain and develop budget and forecast modules, ensuring accuracy and efficiency, and understand underlying processes
  • Lead or provide technical input in the development of project planning and cash flow analysis
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports for internal teams and external customers
  • Assists departments with special projects and ad hoc analysis, including research, gathering and validating data, and summarizing results for management
  • Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in business, finance or related field. Three or more years of related experience in financial planning, financial accounting, economics. Must be a self-starter with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Meet deadlines with the ability to interact well with all levels of management and team members. Ability to learn new systems and cross-train. Effective analytical and problem-solving skills, knowledge of financial analysis methods and tools, including the ability to ascertain how transaction affects all areas of financial statements.

Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks under time constraints and function well under pressure. Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Working knowledge of Oracle and Utilities International (UI) helpful. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
