Senior Associate of Accounting - Real Estate Fund Accounting (Private Equity)

Job Overview:

Our client, a leading private equity firm specializing in real estate investments, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate of Accounting to join their dynamic team. Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage accounting processes for real estate funds, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial data.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple real estate funds, in accordance with GAAP and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with portfolio managers, tax professionals, and other teams to ensure alignment on financial reporting, investor communication, and compliance.
• Monitor and reconcile investment valuations, cash flows, and expenses to ensure proper financial management and reporting.
• Assist in the preparation of investor reports, capital calls, distributions, and other investor communications.
• Support the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring all required information is provided.
• Continuously review and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in real estate fund accounting, with a focus on private equity investments.
• Strong understanding of fund accounting, GAAP, and financial reporting standards.
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
