Position: Compensation Planning Analyst

Compensation Planning Analyst – Ultradent Products, Inc.

The Compensation Planning Analyst ensures Ultradent’s compensation programs are financially sound, equitable, and aligned with business strategy. This role partners closely with HR and Finance leadership to support compensation planning, analysis, and administration that balance market competitiveness with fiscal discipline.

With a strong focus on financial analysis and workforce cost management, the Compensation Planning Analyst supports budgeting, forecasting, and long-term compensation planning across the organization. This role reports to the Director, HR Service Delivery and Administration and is primarily onsite in South Jordan, Utah.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the administration of company-wide compensation programs, including base salary structures, incentive plans, and executive compensation, ensuring internal equity and market alignment
  • Perform financial modeling and cost analysis to support merit cycles, incentive payouts, severance programs, and workforce planning decisions
  • Support compensation budgeting, forecasting, and labor cost scenario analysis, partnering with Finance and contributing insights for leadership review
  • Analyze compensation metrics such as compa-ratio, pay equity, and budget utilization; translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Prepare and maintain compensation documentation, including pay ranges, job classifications, and cost-impact analyses
  • Conduct job evaluations, market pricing, and total compensation benchmarking using internal data and external survey sources
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements related to compensation and pay practices
  • Partner with Payroll, Finance, and HR Business Partners to validate pay data and support compensation adjustments
  • Educate managers and employees on compensation philosophy, program design, and the financial impact of compensation decisions
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Two to three years of experience in compensation administration, compensation analysis, or financially focused HR roles
  • Strong financial aptitude with experience in compensation modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis
  • Working knowledge of financial controls, accounting principles, and audit requirements related to payroll and compensation
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with compensation and HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, Payfactors, SAP, Adaptive, or similar)
  • Ability to analyze complex datasets and communicate insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders
  • High level of discretion and attention to detail when handling sensitive compensation data
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across HR, Finance, and leadership teams
