Selby Jennings is partnered with a leading boutique investment bank focused on advising founder and/or family‑led businesses in the consumer sector on mergers & acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic growth. Transactions typically range from $50 MM to $1 Bn+. This team has experienced significant success and is looking to add (1) Associate or VP to its growing Salt Lake City office.

• Lead and support execution of M&A transactions, capital raising, and other strategic initiatives within the consumer sector.
• Conduct detailed industry research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Build and maintain advanced financial models, including valuation, merger consequences, and leveraged buyout analyses.
• Prepare client presentations, pitch books, and marketing materials.
• Work closely with senior bankers and clients to develop strategic insights and recommendations.
• Mentor Analysts and contribute to their professional development.

• 2‑7 years of experience in investment banking or private equity, with a focus on the consumer industry preferred.
• Strong academic background with a degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field; background in Accounting or CPA a plus.
• Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (e.g., Capital IQ, Fact Set).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
