Join Alter Domus as a Fund Accountant in our Graduate Program. This role provides an introduction to alternative investing and offers a 10‑week ADvance Program for new graduates.

Job Description

Our Fund Accounting business units act as a third‑party intermediary between fund managers and investors to verify and distribute assets tied to investments. The role will involve working closely with clients and is a great introduction to alternative investing, with opportunities in the Private Equity Group in Ogden and Salt Lake City.

ADvance Program

New graduates are hired as full‑time permanent employees. During the first ten weeks of employment, they participate in the ADvance Program, which focuses on developing both technical and professional skills. The program includes core training modules, insights into different departments, tailored mentorship, networking opportunities, “Meet the Leader” sessions, and more.

Your Responsibilities
  • Prepare cash and journal entries and bank reconciliations
  • Assist with financial statement preparation and period‑end closings
  • Interact with clients through email and participate in call reviews
  • Participate in quarterly and annual audit functions
  • Process and track daily cash contributions and distributions for investment fund clients
  • Engage in the Alter Domus ADvance Program
  • Attend in‑person and virtual networking events
Your Profile
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with a strong accounting focus or a previous accounting internship; expected graduation Spring 2025 or December 2025
  • Strong interest in Fund Accounting as a career
  • Senior student (expected graduation between December 2025–August 2026)
  • Proficient with Excel
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, learning, and collaboration
  • Customer‑centric mindset
  • Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to work responsibly in a hybrid environment
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment‑based sponsorship now or in the future
