Middle Market Banking - Relationship Manager II

It starts with our culture that emphasizes common sense and clarity. We believe that fairness, simplicity, and directness should guide all interactions. When a banker looks at a client, they don’t just see a number—they see a dad or a mom, a graduate or a business owner. Our bankers understand the complexities of people’s lives and offer simple, tailored solutions.

That is the foundation of our relationships: fairness and simplicity. By joining our company, you have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact beyond the walls of our buildings. We are committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion. Through our banking relationships, investing, grants, and volunteerism, we promote the growth, revitalization, and sustainability of the communities we serve. All associates are encouraged to feel welcome and empowered at work.

All responsibilities for this role center around connecting with people quickly in an outgoing, friendly manner. Persuasive communication is essential to gain the interest and involvement of others. A strong sense of urgency, accuracy, and adherence to company standards is required. The motivation behind the position comes from a deep sense of duty and responsibility for completing work both quickly and correctly.

Decision-making is done carefully within established company policy. Selling ideas, training, teaching, and motivating a team are also key aspects of this role. Change is an ongoing occurrence, and the candidate should be conservative and supportive of management guidance.

As a Commercial and Specialty Banking Relationship Manager II, you will ensure the overall success and growth of an assigned portfolio by deepening relationships with existing clients and acquiring new clients. You will cross‑sell lending, depository, and Treasury Management products. Responsibilities include reviewing clients’ credit needs, designing solutions, negotiating credit terms, loan repayment methods, and collateral specifications. You will manage the existing portfolio, monitor compliance with credit standards, update financials, maintain collateral insurance, review loans for accurate grades, and handle relationships with credit exposure greater than $2 million and fee income over $25 000.

You will also provide financial advice and counsel to clients and prospective clients regarding business trends and general banking conditions. You will review loan documents for compliance with the Loan Policy and banking laws, maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, build strong rapport with clients and colleagues, and treat others with respect regardless of status.

All associates are expected to maintain current knowledge and consistent compliance with regulations and bank policies, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements.
