Barry’s is the Best Workout in the World
TM®. Founded in West Hollywood in 1998, it offers a high‑intensity, one‑hour workout alternating between weights and treadmill running. Each day focuses on a different muscle group to tone muscle and maximize fat loss, with metabolism remaining elevated for up to 48 hours after the class. Smoking is prohibited in all indoor Barry’s spaces.
Front Desk Responsibilities:

Experience:
Understanding of hospitality principles and ability to execute as part of the Barry’s Client Experience - Support the client experience with hospitality and studio amenities to build personalized experiences and positively impact sales and service
- Be an effective brand ambassador, ensuring clients are warmly welcomed, assisted, and have a memorable experience
- Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships with clients and staff, and providing direction for questions or concerns
- Communicate with supervisors and peers in a timely and efficient manner (phone, written form, email, text, or in person)
- Deliver a first‑class client experience at all times
- Maintain a clean and welcoming atmosphere by assisting in studio cleaning, restocking, and upkeep
- Guide clients regarding latest studio promotions, membership discounts, and special events
- Maintain product knowledge for all studio retail operations
- Participate in training and development programs as directed by Operations leaders
- Maintain flexibility with schedule, including weekends, holidays, mornings, and nights, and meet minimum availability requirements
Fuel Bar Responsibilities
- Deliver quality protein smoothies and customer service in the Fuel Bar
- Handle pre‑orders and on‑the‑spot orders tailored to clients’ needs
- Assist clients with questions and product selection
- Complete client orders in a timely manner using POS systems
- Maintain Fuel Bar areas clean and sanitized
- Follow safety, proper food handling, and sanitation procedures per health regulations
- Rotate merchandise in refrigerated coolers and department tables, monitoring for spoilage per company policy
- Prepare Fuel Bar offerings following company recipes
Facility Maintenance
- Prepare studio spaces before, after, and between classes by cleaning equipment, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and wiping mirrors
- Support cleaning and maintenance of locker rooms to brand standards
- Regular deep cleaning and organization of common areas including lobby, Fuel Bar, Red Room/Lift/Ride spaces, retail shelves, locker rooms, hallways, and storage
- Conduct small studio repairs when appropriate
- Laundry services including towels (collecting, washing, folding)
- Adhere to daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance checklists
Customer Service
- Ensure all clients receive high levels of hospitality
- Maintain client database and use information for client outreach
- Attend community events to generate new business and invite clients to in‑studio events
- Strong hospitality skills and alignment with Barry’s Mission, Vision, and Values
- Ability to work full‑time or part‑time
- Full‑time: available a minimum of 30 hours/week, mornings to evenings, with at least one weekend day
- Part‑time: available a minimum of 24 hours/week, with 3–4 hours per shift and weekends
- Friendly, outgoing personality and enjoyment of social interaction
- Enthusiasm for the studio and the job
- Patient, courteous listener with empathy and can‑do attitude
- Cooperative team player with strong communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and work in a fast‑paced environment
- Exceptional cleaning and sanitary standards
- Attention to detail and care for the studio’s appearance
- Work cohesively with Barry’s staff to ensure efficiency
