What you’ll do- Leadership & Team Building:
Lead and unify the SHE function across North America Minerals, managing all SHE resources and fostering a high‑performing team aligned with global standards. - Strategic Execution:
Drive consistent execution of SHE priorities across all NAM sites, ensuring alignment with global objectives and business performance goals. - Risk Management & Compliance:
Identify gaps and risks in current processes, improve regulatory compliance, and implement systematic actions to achieve zero harm. - Change Management:
Champion and lead strategic safety change initiatives, embedding a culture of relentless rigor and accountability in safety practices. - Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with senior leaders locally and globally to integrate SHE strategies and communicate safety messages clearly and effectively. - Travel:
Initially up to 50% travel within North America, reducing to approximately 25%. - Safety First:
Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world‑class safety culture.
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related discipline
- Proven track record of managing and executing impactful SHE initiatives with measurable success
- Strong change management skills with the ability to lead teams and drive organizational safety culture transformation
- Experience in heavy industrial equipment manufacturing or related sectors such as rubber, machining, foundry, or heavy assembly
- Familiarity with safety management systems, like ICAM.
