Holland & Hart is looking for experienced patent attorneys to join our dynamic, growing electronics and computer patent practice that comprises 60+ patent professionals. We help some of the world’s greatest technology companies create a smarter and better planet by strategically positioning and protecting their innovations.
We leverage the latest technologies and bring unmatched expertise in wireless communications, electronics, AI, and software, along with client counseling, standards‑essential patents, and post‑grant patent work. Positions are open for our Colorado, Utah, and Idaho offices, among others.
Our Ideal Candidate- Is currently engaged in patent preparation/prosecution work.
- Has 2+ years of recent experience in patent preparation, with experience in wireless telecommunications systems, standards‑related technologies, communication networks, electrical hardware and software, computer networks, semiconductors, storage devices, circuits, memory, cloud computing, data security, or wearable technology preferred.
- Has a strong academic record with a technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent fields.
- Is a practitioner who possesses a growth mindset and enjoys working in an innovative culture on cutting‑edge technology.
Holland & Hart’s compensation is merit‑based—you’ll be evaluated on your individual performance and achievements and on your contributions to the team’s efforts. As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Act, the firm provides a good‑faith salary range for this position (if based in Colorado): $200,000–$260,000. Associates are also eligible for a generous bonus program and fee splits.
Associates are expected to invest 1,800 billable hours, 75 hours of pro‑bono/public service work (or 50 hours of pro‑bono legal work), and at least 25 hours dedicated to Community, Diversity & Inclusion Investment hours.
