Job Description

Copia is seeking a Manager, EPC Contracts & Document Controls to provide key support to execute a multi‑gigawatt pipeline of projects under pre‑construction planning or in construction. The role requires experience in the Energy Industry, with a prime focus on utility‑scale photovoltaic, battery energy storage systems, or gas generators. The Manager, EPC Contracts & Document Controls will report directly to the Managing Director, Project Management and Procurement, working closely with Copia’s asset management, energy markets, legal, and finance teams in an individual contributor capacity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the EPC team with contract negotiations, execution, and compliance, ensuring broad collaborative communication is consistent to all stakeholders.
  • Manage pre‑construction contracts, working closely with engineering, construction, commercial, and legal teams in tracking contract and exhibit revisions to and from EPC contractors.
  • Maintain document control of both internal and external data, supporting transmittals, submittals, and RFI responses.
  • Manage EPC Contract amendments through negotiation and execution.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and project risks.
  • Collect and input contract compliance requirements into a Contract Matrix and EPC compliance tools (Bluepoint).
  • Manage EPC Contract work order/LNTP issuances through execution in coordination with EPC team, legal, and commercial.
  • Track and socialize notices from contractors (Force Majeure, change in law, etc.) with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Attend EPC weekly & monthly meetings to support PMs and EPCm, and assist in contract documentation (MC/SC certificates, QA/QC books, etc.).
  • Use Procore to respond to contractual RFIs.
  • Collect labor statistics (union utilization) requested.
  • Assist EPCm and PM teams in risk register reporting, change order tracking, and management of change orders.
  • Coordinate prevailing wage data and audit remediation with vendors/contractors.
  • Assist in lessons learned reviews after each project phase and update EPC Agreement Exhibit Templates.
  • Maintain and organize all project documentation within Procore and SharePoint.
  • Implement and enforce document control procedures aligned with company standards.
  • Coordinate documentation related to project commissioning, startup, and final handover.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators for contract management efficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What We Look For

  • 3‑5 years of experience in contracts and document management for utility‑scale power generation projects.
  • Proficiency in Procore, SharePoint, and specific CLM platforms.
  • Experience dealing with peers, subordinates, management, and third parties.
  • Certification in contract management (e.g., IACCM, NCMA) desirable.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Highly driven with problem‑solving abilities, integrity, and strong work ethic.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 3‑5 years of professional experience, preferably in the renewable energy industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint & Excel).
