Your Impact
  • Stormwater design for projects including both bid-build and design-build projects
  • Assisting in all aspects of roadway drainage design including bridge hydraulic studies, culvert design, closed drainage system analysis, and sediment and erosion control design
  • Performing hydrologic & hydraulic studies using software such as GEOPAK Drainage, HY-8, and HEC-RAS
  • Preparing cost-estimates and technical reports
  • Coordinating permitting efforts with various stormwater agencies
  • Training/mentoring junior engineers and technicians
  • Apply knowledge and experience of engineering to design roadway drainage improvements
  • Follow design standards to layout proposed improvements in Micro Station
  • Work with project support staff to complete project requirements
  • Coordinate with reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality of work
  • Perform work within project deadlines
  • Clearly communicate work through drawings, documents, reports, and verbal exchange
Who You Are
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
  • A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in stormwater design/analysis
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Utah, or eligibility to obtain license within 12 months
  • Experience with Micro Station ORD and GEOPAK Drainage
  • Experience with ArcGIS is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • UDOT experience is desirable
  • Experience with HEC-RAS, SMS, SRH-2D, and SWMM
  • This role will support our Salt Lake City, Utah office
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience preparing LOMR/CLOMA for FEMA review and approval is a plus
