Overview
This engineering consultancy provides full‑service engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCm) support to industrial clients across multiple sectors, including pulp and paper, chemicals, consumer goods, food and beverage, power generation, and heavy industry. What You Will DoThis role is ideal for an experienced project manager who can independently develop project plans, scopes of work, schedules, budgets, and execution strategies. Working under the direction of the Operations Leader for the office, the successful candidate will be expected to build strong relationships inside and outside the organization, demonstrate solid business and project management capabilities, communicate clearly, and provide leadership and guidance to the engineering team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee the full lifecycle of engineering and business‑related projects, from initiation through completion.
- Create and maintain detailed scopes of work and project documentation.
- Understand client expectations and project success metrics, ensuring they are consistently achieved.
- Develop, manage, and monitor project budgets and cost forecasts.
- Identify changes to the scope of work and communicate them appropriately.
- Address client concerns and needs promptly and effectively.
- Deliver value‑added solutions and establish a high level of trust with clients.
- Ensure client policies, procedures, and standards are communicated to and followed by the project team.
- Review, approve, and manage all project deliverables.
- Coordinate necessary project resources such as site visits, drawings, reports, and technical support.
- Confirm that purchase orders or client authorizations are received before work begins and ensure work stays within authorized budgets.
- Support timely and accurate invoicing and confirm payments are received.
- Identify potential future work tied to ongoing projects.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
- Strong project management background supporting engineering‑focused initiatives.
- Understanding of both front‑end engineering development and detailed design processes.
- Experience managing and expanding client accounts and identifying additional opportunities within existing relationships.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Capable of leading implementation activities, monitoring project progress, overseeing quality, and controlling costs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong, lasting client relationships.
- Able to contribute to improving operational reliability and efficiency.
- Experience with in consulting engineering, power, or heavy industrial environments is highly preferred.
