Schedule: 9/80 (employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off)

Our Quality Technicians are responsible for creating Inspection Plans
, used as an inspection aid,
for purchased material
, using manufacturing drawings
, diagrams
, specifications and workmanship standards
. They process quality notifications for COTS materials and work with suppliers to resolve non-conformance issues
. The Quality Techs also assign Quality Codes to PN’s which are attached as a deliverable requirement on Purchase Orders. They also run scripts to assign SAP Inspection Plans (Groups) to all newly released part numbers and verify Groups are assigned correctly
. The Quality Technicians, at times work with Material Buyers, Supplier Quality Engineers, Design Engineers, Suppliers and others, as required, to resolve issues and provide clarification on the Inspection Plans
.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and create inspection plans based on the drawing requirements.
- Based on drawing types and requirements, assign required quality codes, to PN’s, so material suppliers understand required deliverables for each PN. (First Article Inspection Report (FAIR), OEM/OCM, Certificate of Conformance (C of
C), Country of Origin (COO), Test Data, etc.) - Able to learn and utilize the established QMS tools used including SAP ECC, SAP ME and Team Center, and Microsoft Suite.
- Identify nonconforming conditions and document the nonconformance, in writing, in a quality notification.
- Process Quality Notifications by contacting suppliers, communicating the non-conformance, and disposition the material as required.
- Locate information, on the internet, for Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) material
- Technical capability to learn and utilize AI tools for future process optimization
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience
- 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- Experience performing visual inspection on different commodities including CCA’s, PCB’s, machined parts, Cables/Harnesses, electronic assemblies and component parts.
- Current certifications or the ability to complete the following certifications
- IPC-A-610H
- IPC-WHMA-A 620D
- IPC-A-600K
- AS9102 training/certification
- Experience with and understanding of AS9100/ISO
9001 QMS requirements - Proficient in SAP ECC, SAP ME, Team Center, and Microsoft products.
- Able to lift 30 lbs
- 5+ years experience within the DoD environment
- Technical experience/education is desired
- Some work may be performed in a warehouse environment
