Project Engineer Diver – Marine Solutions, Inc.

Job Overview

Marine Solutions, Inc., a specialized marine engineering and construction firm, is hiring a Project Engineer Diver. The role involves field inspection, material testing, and engineering computations under the guidance of a senior engineer.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform field inspection and evaluation of structures under the direction of a higher-level engineer.
  • Conduct material testing and incorporate results into reports under the direction of a higher-level engineer.
  • Perform complex engineering computations involving conventional engineering practices under the direction of a higher-level engineer.
  • Prepare comprehensive engineering documents including inspection reports, design plans, and specifications under the direction of a higher-level engineer.
  • Actively participate in internal project meetings and work to actively resolve project issues.
  • Actively promote a safe work culture.
Required Qualifications
  • Engineer-In-Training (EIT) license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • ADCI Commercial Diver license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
  • Valid US Driver’s License.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or master’s degree in civil, structural or ocean engineering from an accredited four-year university.
  • 0–4 years of engineering experience.
Physical Requirements , Work Environment & Safety

The duties of this position require the employee to regularly sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear. The employee may need to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Visual abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While in the field, the employee may be required to walk in rugged conditions, work in adverse weather conditions, and stand up to eight hours or more at a time. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the required duties of this position.

This position requires maintaining current industry knowledge and expertise through active involvement in professional organizations and/or other activities that may require additional and/or flexible working hours. The ability and availability to readily work overtime and perform duties outside normal working hours may be required to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.
