The Roads and Highways Practice is seeking an Engineer in Training:
Drainage in Salt Lake City, UT. The candidate will work in a project team environment for public infrastructure improvement projects. Specific duties will include storm sewer, ditch, culvert, grading, and revetment design, best management practice design, stormwater management plans, water quality analysis, and hydrologic and hydraulic analysis.

• Work as a key member of the drainage team, collaborating with Project Engineers to perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses on transportation projects.
• Utilize Open Roads and other drainage modeling software to analyze and design storm drains, culverts, ditches, and stormwater management and water quality facilities.
• Prepare plans, details, and reports.
• Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality, integrated solutions for our clients.

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• Passing of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
• 0-3 years of hydrology or hydraulics design experience related to interstate and roadway projects.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Knowledge of UDOT or Utah local agency drainage design standards.
• Previous exposure to storm drain modeling software.
• Familiarity with Open Roads software.

• Potential salary range: $70,000 - $85,000. The posted salary range represents the typical range for this position and is provided in accordance with applicable state and local pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
