Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer

Overview

Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer role s position is available for candidates located anywhere in the United States, with a preference for proximity to a Jacobs U.S. office.

• Layout and design of HVAC systems
• Development of the design criteria for HVAC systems, including general comfort heating and cooling, precise temperature or humidity control, pressurization, and clean room requirements where applicable
• Development of conceptual and preliminary design documents, including sizing calculations, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements
• Development of final design documents including specifications, sequences of operation, duct/piping layouts, and final construction documents for systems such as chilled water and cooling water
• Coordination with other disciplines

• Professional Engineering License
• At least ten (10) years of experience designing HVAC systems for industrial facilities
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC design
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines
• Ability to lead a building mechanical team and collaborate with other discipline team members remotely

• Revit, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D
• Experience in design of plumbing/utility systems

The base salary range is stated above; individual pay is determined by location and factors such as skills, experience, and education.
