Senior Project Manager

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Platt team in Salt Lake City, UT.

Rexel USA is one of the largest distributors of electrical products, data communication, and related supplies in the United States. Rexel USA operates its electrical distribution business in the United States through eight Regions that go to market under various banner and trade names, including Rexel, Rexel Automation, Gexpro, Mayer, and Platt Electric Supply. In addition to an online store, Rexel USA has a distribution network of over 460 warehouse storefront locations throughout the U.S.

• Manage all aspects of high profile/complex projects that require a high level of product knowledge
• Communicate to the customer, expedite OS&Ds (over, short & damaged) and resolve customer issues promptly
• Review Purchase Orders to understand requirements and ensure terms and conditions are correct
• Collaborate with sales and vendors to obtain additional margin when possible
• Coordinate with vendors, customers and sales teams on pricing, order placement, claims and returned goods, and account management to meet customer expectations
• Expedite backorders to maximize fill rates and customer satisfaction
• Identify vendors and purchase requirements for pricing advantages and product substitutions to improve profitability
• Manage delivery schedule, product quality, information updates and back charges
• Proactively seek alternative methods to deliver the project on time and within budget
• Provide timely price quotations, requotes, and/or proposals
• Deepen customer relationships, including on-site visits when appropriate
• Coordinate with project team for documentation requirements such as O&M manuals, Test Reports, submittal packages, and Certificates of Compliance
• May provide training and guidance to entry level Project Managers
• Perform other duties as assigned

• 7+ years of quotation, project management, or customer service experience
• Experience in electrical distribution industry preferred
• High School or GED - Required
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and peers
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point
• Entrepreneurial spirit, self-motivated, and enthusiastic about the business
• Ability to function effectively and multi-task in a demanding and time-sensitive environment
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
• Analytical and able to solve problems
• Ability to drive results

Working Environment:

• Exposed to high noise levels and temperature variations

• Handles or works with potentially dangerous equipment
