Job Summary

The Center for Campus Wellness ( CCW ) is a comprehensive wellness office that provides wellness education, trainings and workshops, victim-survivor advocacy services and support, safer sex services for students, collegiate recovery program, basic needs support, wellness coaching, and peer mentorship.

We are hiring student staff who will serve as a Wellness Exchange Ambassador ( WEA ) with our Basic Needs Collective. WEAs are a committed group of students who understand the importance of health and wellness, the value of connecting students to resources on campus to be successful while at the U, and who want to empower themselves and their peers to make positive changes.

Expectations

Spring Semester – Jan, 2026:
Beginning in Spring semester through April 21 (last day of classes for spring semester), WEAs are expected to work 10-12 hours per week. These hours may be held during regular business hours (8-5, M-F) but will also include evening or weekend events/programs. WEAs will not be required to work during academic breaks (fall, winter, spring), University closure days or holidays when Student Affairs is closed, or during finals week for the fall or spring semester.

Position may be renewed for Summer and/or Fall 2026 based on program needs and available funding.

Mandatory Training (Paid)
  • Upon hire, training will be provided during the first week.
  • Complete Food Handler’s in first two weeks of hire.
  • Complete Driving Safety Course within the first two weeks of hire.
  • Complete Golf Cart driving training.
  • Valid Utah driver’s license.
Responsibilities

All WEAs will share a set of core responsibilities, including:

  • Transport food, hygiene, and wellness items between the main Wellness Exchange and satellite pantry locations.
  • Organize and restock pantry and thrift inventory; track items and usage data as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and accessibility of pantry spaces.
  • Communicate with campus partners in a friendly and professional manner regarding inventory needs, donation coordination, or site updates.
  • Support promotion of satellite pantry services through tabling, outreach, or collaborations with student groups.
  • Identify areas where access can be enhanced and offer feedback to CCW leadership.
  • Resource Navigation:
    Provide basic information and referrals to students regarding campus and community basic needs resources.
  • Documentation:
    Maintain accurate records of interactions with students and provide reports to supervisors as needed.
  • Collaboration:

    Collaborate with other campus organizations, student groups, and university staff to foster a supportive campus environment.
  • Light reception duties as needed
