The Machining Technology Adjunct Faculty will provide instruction, outcomes assessment and facilitate students’ learning in the theory and practical application of machining concepts. This includes but is not limited to the following: GD&T, Machining Concepts, 3-Axis CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, Manual Mill, Manual Lathe, Surface Grinding, Math for Machinists, and CNC Programming. The Adjunct Faculty will support learning in an in‑person cohort learning model using lecture/lab instruction and completing all required reports and documentation.
This position will be assigned courses taught from 6‑9 pm or from 1:30‑4:30 pm at the Westpointe Campus. Other schedules may be evaluated.
This is a pooled position. The department reviews applications as positions become available.
This position is paid at $1,056 per instructional unit.

Teaching ResponsibilitiesAll Faculty will maintain an on‑site campus presence to encourage in‑person relationships and create engaging, meaningful, and impactful learning experiences unless approved for online‑only courses.
You are employed as an Adjunct Faculty member/Instructor on a contract‑to‑contract basis, with no future expectation or obligation for employment. Your employment may be terminated At Will at any time.
You are required to maintain professional boundaries with all SLCC students.
QualificationsSalt Lake Technical College or equivalent certificate in CNC Machinist Technician or Manual Machining and 4 years of relevant industry experience, or 6 years of relevant industry experience. Salt Lake Technical College or equivalent certificate in CNC Machinist Technician or Manual Machining and 6 years of relevant industry experience operating and programming CNC and manual equipment.
