Oncologist, Medical Doctor
The Hematology/Oncology staff physician and clinical researcher is an academic Hematologist/Oncologist responsible for participating in the fulfillment of the missions of the Hematology/Oncology Section of the Medicine Service. The incumbent participates in the clinical care, educational efforts, and research efforts to achieve objectives of the Hematology/Oncology section in collaboration with the Chief of Hematology/Oncology.
DutiesThe position includes administrative, clinical and academic/research duties. The Hematology/Oncology staff physician will work closely with the academic affiliate (Huntsman Cancer Institute and University of Utah) Oncology Division.

E. Wahlen Department of Veterans Affairs Oncology Center in Salt Lake City, Utah and 10 community clinics across Utah, Idaho and Nevada. We provide health care to over 80,000 eligible Veterans across 125,000 square miles of the intermountain west. We are a teaching hospital, providing a full range of patient care services, holistic medicine as well as education and research.

- Candidate will be board certified in medical Oncology and/or hematology.
- Candidate should have broad oncology expertise, with sub-specialty expertise in the management of gynecologic malignancies, including uterine, ovarian and cervical cancer.
- Candidate should also demonstrate a track record of successful clinical trial involvement within the VA.
- Preferred candidates for this position will have expertise in gynecologic oncology and VA clinical trial implementation.
