Overview

The Department of Dermatology (Allergy & Immunology Section) at the University of Utah Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine is seeking a qualified allergy/immunology physician at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor. Appointment track will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Applicant must be board-certified in either Internal Medicine or Pediatrics and be board certified in Allergy/Immunology. The ideal candidate will have trained at a leading Allergy/Immunology program and present with outstanding references.

Comfort seeing both children and adults is preferred. A strong commitment to high-quality clinical care and service excellence is essential. Clinics are located primarily in the Salt Lake Valley, with additional clinic opportunities in Orem as well.

Responsibilities
  • Provide outpatient allergy/immunology care in a comprehensive, full-service program, including spirometry, skin testing, allergen immunotherapy, drug desensitization, food challenges, oral immunotherapy (OIT), and evaluation and management of complex immunologic disorders.
  • Provide inpatient Allergy/Immunology consultation services at University of Utah Hospital and Primary Children's Hospital.
  • Collaborate within a dermatology-based infrastructure that supports innovation, patient-centered service, interdisciplinary collaboration, research, and continued growth.
  • Join an academic allergy/immunology practice of 6 established allergist/immunologists within the Department of Dermatology.
  • Supervise and support clinic efficiency with dedicated medical assistants per physician (2–3 per physician).
  • Engage in teaching, scholarly activity, and departmental initiatives as appropriate for an academic appointment.
Qualifications
  • Board-certified in Internal Medicine or Pediatrics and board-certified in Allergy/Immunology.
  • Trained at a leading Allergy/Immunology program; evidence of outstanding references.
  • Comfort managing care for both pediatric and adult patients.
About the Practice Setting
  • Academic allergy/immunology practice within the Department of Dermatology.
  • Two to three dedicated medical assistants per physician to support clinic operations.
  • Large department with significant opportunities for research and growth.
  • Clinical services: spirometry, skin testing, allergen immunotherapy, drug desensitization, food challenges, OIT, and complex immunologic disorders management.
  • Inpatient consultation services at University of Utah Hospital and Primary Children’s Hospital.
