Pediatric Cardiologist Specializing in Echocardiography and General Cardiology

Position Overview

Details This is an outstanding opportunity to join a vibrant and collegial academic environment and work in a children’s hospital ranked as one of the best in the U.S. The Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine seeks Pediatric Cardiologists with expertise in echocardiography (transthoracic, +/- transesophageal, +/-3D). Division members read over 18,000 echocardiograms annually, over 1,400 fetal echoes, over 350 cardiac MRIs, and over 400 CT angiograms.

• Share in all clinical aspects, educational efforts, program development, and quality improvement initiatives associated with the echocardiography service.
• Provide rotating coverage of the echo lab; depending on qualifications, cover night and weekend call for emergency transesophageal echocardiograms or complex transthoracic studies.
• Rotate in covering general cardiology night and weekend call with other Division members.
• Participate in general cardiology outpatient clinic and inpatient service, and in outreach clinic settings.
• Engage in academic work, including education, research, administration, and advocacy, with reserved time and support.

• Board‑Eligible or Board‑Certified in Pediatric Cardiology.
• Focused training and expertise in echocardiography—fourth‑year trained physicians, graduates of a three‑year fellowship with demonstrable skill in transthoracic echo, or general cardiologists with significant exposure and experience.
• Faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics (clinical or tenure track) at the level commensurate with experience and qualifications.
• Leadership opportunities available for qualified candidates.
