Overview
The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the University of Utah is actively recruiting an ABTS board-certified surgeon to serve as the Head of the Adult Cardiac Surgery Section. Eligible candidates will be at the Associate or Full Professor level and would be either tenure or clinical-track faculty within the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine. The successful candidate will be expected to perform the entire spectrum of adult cardiac surgery and support the academic mission of the Division.
All faculty will serve as Attending Surgeons at the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics, the Salt Lake Veteran's Administration Health Care System and the Huntsman Cancer Institute. Candidates will be expected to actively participate in the teaching and mentorship of our integrated and traditional thoracic surgery trainees.
- Perform the entire spectrum of adult cardiac surgery and support the academic mission of the Division.
- Serve as Attending Surgeons at the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics, the Salt Lake Veteran's Administration Health Care System and the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
- Actively participate in the teaching and mentorship of integrated and traditional thoracic surgery trainees.
- ABTS board-certified surgeon.
