Procurement Surgeon - Rank Dependent Of Qualifications
The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery within the Department of Surgery at the University of Utah School of Medicine is actively recruiting for a thoracic transplant procurement surgeon. Individuals would join the faculty of the Division at a rank commensurate with experience. Candidates will include those that are board-certified or eligible by the ABTS as well as those that meet criteria for licensure within the state of Utah (ECFMG certification/USMLE steps).
Responsibilities- Procurement of adult and pediatric hearts and lungs, including DCD donors and implementation of NRP.
- Support ambulatory ECMO and eCPR services.
- Participate actively in the teaching of Thoracic Surgery residents.
- Board-certified or eligible by the ABTS, or eligible to meet criteria for licensure in Utah (ECFMG certification/USMLE steps).
