Job Summary

The Division of General Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine is recruiting a Physician Assistant. This full time Physician Assistant will join a growing clinical team of general and developmental pediatricians, and advanced practice providers. Responsibilities include pediatric primary care ambulatory services focused mainly at our Sugar House Health Center and development and autism evaluations in our Child Development Program.

Additional services at other locations may be required, depending on clinical need. The Physician Assistant will work collaboratively with the entire care team to deliver excellent primary care.

Responsibilities
  • The Physician Assistant will provide pediatric primary care ambulatory services at our Sugar House Health Center and development and autism evaluations at our Child Development Program, in collaboration with a team of physicians, medical assistants, and care managers.
  • Conduct patient evaluations, including obtaining histories, performing physical examinations, making diagnoses, creating and managing treatment plans and documenting clinical encounters.
  • Participation in clinic(s) and division quality improvement initiatives.

Infectious disease, oils (there is air or skin exposure to oils or other cutting fluids), hazards (includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, or exposure to chemicals).
