The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Utah, John
A. Moran Eye Center, is actively seeking a vitreoretinal clinician‑scientist interested in establishing an independent clinical and translational research program focused on inherited and acquired diseases of the macula and retina. This is a full‑time, tenure‑track faculty position, approximately 50% research and 50% clinical practice.

- Develop an independent clinical and translational research program in macular and retinal diseases.
- Conduct 50% research and 50% clinical practice within the department.
- Teach and train residents and fellows in the clinic and operating room.
- Maintain a strong peer‑reviewed publication record in retinal and macular diseases.
- Completed an accredited ophthalmology residency.
- Board‑certified or board‑eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
- Completed a two‑year surgical vitreoretinal fellowship.
- Strong background in advanced imaging modalities of the retina.
- Three letters of reference.
