The RoleWe are seeking a Senior Project Manager with an Interior Design background to lead complex, design-forward residential projects from concept through installation. This role is ideal for an experienced designer or design-adjacent professional who loves being close to the work—bridging the gap between creative vision and real-world execution .
You will serve as the central point of coordination between clients, designers, architects, builders, and our internal teams, ensuring that every detail is thoughtfully managed and flawlessly delivered. In addition to managing projects, this role includes mentoring and supporting junior project managers.
What You’ll Do- Lead multiple high-end custom cabinetry and millwork projects from kickoff to closeout
- Act as the primary liaison for interior designers, architects, clients, and general contractors
- Translate design intent into clear, executable plans while protecting the original vision
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and scopes
- Collaborate closely with internal design, engineering, production, and installation teams
- Review shop drawings, specifications, and contracts for accuracy, aesthetics, and constructability
- Manage change orders, RFIs, and cost tracking with a detail-oriented approach
- Facilitate clear handoffs and project meetings across teams
- Proactively identify challenges and resolve issues before they impact timeline or quality
- Ensure all deliverables meet Arbor & Ore’s high standards for craftsmanship, fit, and finish
- Help refine internal project management processes and mentor junior PMs
- Strong project management experience with a design-sensitive mindset
- Background in Interior Design, Architectural Design, or Construction Management (preferred)
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage complex, custom work
- Clear, confident communicator comfortable working with creative and technical teams
- Ability to balance aesthetics, budget, and schedule without compromising quality
- Experience with high-end residential cabinetry, furniture, or millwork is a strong plus
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
