Broadcast/Event Producer 2 - US Central
Location:
Salt Lake City, UT, United States (No Local). The role supports the United States Central Area by assisting the Area Publishing Services Manager in creating and producing materials that communicate the priorities and vision of the Area Presidency. The position provides audiovisual (AV) support for key Area leadership meetings and requires approximately 20% travel.
Produce materials and messages that invite all God’s children to follow Jesus Christ. Lead live productions to touch hearts, minds, and spirits. Partner to create solutions that meet the Church’s divinely appointed responsibilities via live events, broadcasts, video and printed content. Foster trust and unity, build upon strengths and ideas, and deliver compelling products with clear and timely communication.
This position provides trusted creative vision, robust project management, persuasive leadership, and world-class expertise to create compelling deliverables.
ResponsibilitiesA Project Manager 40%:
- Complete end-to-end management of assigned projects.
- Gain the necessary approvals to initiate the project.
- Counsel and collaborate with the product management team to understand their needs, purposes, missions, visions, and ideals.
- Ensure projects meet the scope, schedule, and budget requirements to accomplish the work at the prescribed level of quality.
- Hold resource teams and internal and external partners accountable to meet their commitments.
- Employ approved tools, processes, and policies.
- Coordinate hand-offs between groups that are working collaboratively.
A Production Expert 30%:
- Lead all aspects of pre-production, production, and post-production logistics including production plans and documentation, approvals, contingencies, intellectual property, vendor contracts, product deliverables and archival of the deliverable for B&E projects of medium to large size scope and budget, with crews of 20-40 people (and occasionally larger).
- Provide creative consultation, work with others cross-functionally and execute production deliverables by employing specialized knowledge and industry expertise.
- Become a production liaison between sponsoring departments and production associates.
- Participate regularly in communities of practice and other professional development efforts.
A Communication Hub 30%:
- Meet directly and frequently with product managers and other stakeholders (executives) regarding project-level decisions.
- Disseminate production information promptly to pertinent teams and individuals.
- Work with Resource Managers and Production Coordinators/Schedulers to assemble the right team, including service partners and potential vendors.
- Use Workfront and other reporting tools to monitor and communicate project health to stakeholders.
- Develop a relationship of trust with sponsoring departments, management, and production crew.
- Recommend improvements based on customer objectives and success criteria.

Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a related field) plus six years of experience in theatrical, broadcast, and events production, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven initiative and ability to champion a project from conception through to completion.
- Ability to lead a multi-discipline team (20-40 people) in accomplishing production deliverables for a client.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments and projects with multiple duties.
- Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience in managing customer relationships at executive level.
- Excellent in use of project management software and tools.
- Ability to strategize, collaborate with, and communicate clearly to stakeholders.
- Show an understanding of technical workflows.
- Extensive industry expertise in best practices with advanced broadcast technology acumen.
