The Opportunity
This is a hybrid Estimator / Project Manager role designed to flex based on individual strengths. The successful candidate may:
- Estimate projects that are later handed off to other PMs
- Manage projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Operate primarily as a PM with light estimating responsibilities
The role is not siloed—you’ll be involved across the project lifecycle depending on workload, expertise, and business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely estimates for heavy civil and site development scopes
- Manage projects cradle-to-grave, including budgets, schedules, reporting, and closeout
- Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
- Support proposal preparation, scope reviews, and bid strategy
- Maintain strong cost control, documentation, and follow-through
- Operate effectively in a fast-paced, accountability-driven environment
Qualifications & Attributes
- Strong understanding of civil scopes (earthwork, utilities, grading, excavation)
- High integrity and strong ethical standards
- Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction software
- Motivated to learn, grow, and improve processes
- Ability to pass standard pre-employment requirements
- Heavy civil estimating software (e.g., B2W)
- Earthwork takeoff tools (e.g., AGTEK, In Site )
- Accounting / job cost systems
- Microsoft Office Suite
