FTL Builders is a growing company that specializes in commercial TI and Ground Up projects. We focus on restaurants. We are a driven company looking for a Superintendent to grow with us and is experienced in commercial building. This position will entail working on projects alongside the current project manager and managing other employees and sub-contractors. Majority of the work will be in the Utah Valley, but may spend up to 4 months of the year in Idaho/Colorado or Southern Utah.
ResponsibilitiesApplicants will be proficient in scheduling and time management as well as having extensive knowledge of the trades required to build commercial buildings from the ground up. The ability to comprehensively read and understand plans, shop drawings, and submittals, as well as great organizational skills are a must. Communication skills are also necessary as the applicant will be working with many subcontractors, the office staff, and Project Owners.
Superintendents will document in a daily log the activities going on within the jobsite, including subcontractors on the job, inspections, communications, hours worked, purchases equipment picked up or dropped off, safety conditions, and accident reports. FTL Builders corporate office is located in Salt Lake City. Effective communication will be through reports and online meetings.
QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED. Knowledge of Construction Trades and Skills, Plan Reading and Comprehension. Organization, Communication, Keeping everyone involved in the job on task and on schedule, Computer skills required. Employee will be required to submit daily reports and pictures. Experience with Smartsheet is preferred, but not required.
Additional InformationPay is based on Experience
Will be required to submit a clean driving record.
