Bio Hive is expanding our winning Life Sciences Returnship Initiative (LSRI) that helps curate returnship opportunities in Utah’s life sciences industry.
Returnships are short, project-based roles at companies to provide experienced professionals who have been on a career break a pathway to re-enter the workforce; returnships focus on upskilling individuals to current standards, providing opportunities for mentorship & networking, and generally offer a transitional learning environment preceding full-time employment.
Bio Hive aims to hire two people to support LSRI programming. Returners may be prioritized for this role (defined as an individual who has elected to take a career break for any of the following reasons: infirmary/illness; paternity/maternity leave; care-giving to family members; military service; and/or un-retirement). To be eligible for consideration, applicants must meet the following requirement in addition to the job description below:
As one of two Program Coordinators, you will play a pivotal role in contributing towards the design and delivery of program activities that support life sciences companies in creating and advancing their own returnship programs. You will be working with our partners to educate, train, and support interested returners looking to resume their careers. This involves thoughtfully planning robust training and networking events, coordinating online educational programming, and supporting returners individually and via informal feedback sessions.
Through your work to build, brand and deliver the next phase of growth for Bio Hive’s LSRI, you will help increase our cohort of life sciences companies to more than ten in the near-term. You’ll be engaging and supporting new teams with their efforts to launch their own internal returnship programs. You will also help build a supportive network of returners.
Program branding, advertising and awareness is a key part of driving growth. You’ll be directly employing intentional outreach and communications to support our partnering companies and community of returners through event and activity promotion and celebratory recognition. This cannot happen entirely behind your desk.
You will have an opportunity to frequently collaborate face-to-face and ear-to-ear with various stakeholders, including company leadership, HR personnel, community members, and external partners to ensure success in the production and delivery of this program.
